[Interviews - For Molly and Sam]
Mar. 12th, 2016 02:34 pmMolly and Thea had decided early on that the bar needed a manager who wasn't them. Thea would run the back office and work busy nights, and Molly would help with the same as well as bringing her ideas on programming to the table. But day to day they needed someone they could trust to keep things going.
They'd considered their friends, and Thea had even thought of asking her brother. But none of those felt like the right choice to the women. They'd ended up drafting an ad and posting it online and in the paper. Thea was suprised at just how many applications they'd gotten, and at how many of them were utter crap.
The list had been culled down to four options, two women and two men. The first woman had sounded amazing on paper, but they could tell immediately everything she'd written was a lie. They didn't even need Molly's magic or particular skill for that. She had no idea how to run any kind of business, and had maybe waitressed a few times. The second woman was competent, but had taken a call from her boyfriend during the interview and ended up getting into a shouting match with him over who's responsibility it had been to take the trash out that morning.
Thea and Molly crossed her off the list too.
Their third interview was a man that gave Molly a strange feeling immediately. When he called Thea a little lady she had to stop herself from reaching over and breaking something - just to prove a point.
Another no.
By the time they open the door to the fourth interview they're both tired. The day hasn't gone well and right now it's hard to hope the final candidate will be any better than the previous three.
"Sam?" Thea says to the man waiting in the chairs outside the office. "Come in."

Jan. 24th, 2016 11:38 amThere are a million thoughts buzzing through Thea's mind as she watches the red streak blur away from her. She'd been rescued by the Flash or someone close enough to him as to be indistinguishable. It's bizarre, but the whole night has been bizarre, starting with the effigy in the town square, right through to the attack of the animals.
She uses the stairs to get to her brother's apartment. With whatever is happening, she doesn't want to add getting stuck in an elevator to it. It had been instinct to tell her rescuer to take her here rather than her own place. Honestly, she's surprised Ollie hasn't been calling her to make sure she's okay amid all the madness that had struck Darrow.
"Ollie?" She bangs on his door, fumbling through her bag for her keys. She has his spare, and thinks this is a good enough time to use it. When her brother doesn't answer immediately she decides to let herself in, cracking the door open and calling through. "Ollie, Felicity, are you here? Tell me you're okay."

Dec. 8th, 2015 01:31 amThings were weird.
Those three words could sum up Thea's Darrow experience. Weird-scary, weird-silly, weird-crazy, it didn't matter. All that mattered was that they were weird, and that the one person who seemed to make them feel normal was her tall, magic-wielding friend. Which was strange in itself, but Thea had stopped questioning those things. It had honestly felt as if forever had passed since she had normal friends who weren't there just because of her last name and what they wanted.
Molly couldn't care about any of that. She had her own family issues, and they were utterly unlike anything Thea experienced. It was possibly what brought them together -- that their lives were so different and yet they understood what it was to be both a warrior and completely shaped by who their parents were.
Today was going to be as normal a day as either of them could hope -- Darrow willing. Ice skating up at Kagura couldn't go that wrong. Thea strapped on her rented skates and grinned up at her friend. "Who do you think is faster?"
